FRENCH PRESS INSTRUCTIONS
French Press Tutorial
1. Weigh and grind your coffee directly into your french press.
2. Place on your scale and zero it out.
3. Start a timer counting down from four minutes.
4. Using water at about 203 °F (or about 30 seconds off the boil) wet the grounds at about three times the ground coffee weight, e.g. if you are using 20g of coffee, use 60g water. Stir well with a wooden or plastic spoon.
5. After 30 seconds pour the remaining water (according to your recipe) and stir again.
6. Plunge to about halfway then immediately bring the plunger back up so your grounds are resting just below your water line.
7. Plunge at four minutes and enjoy!
